“When you align with nature, the needs of the Earth and the future generations
are given a voice”

– Salvatore Gencarelle

Testimonial from past events with Sal Gencarelle:

“This has given language to a feeling I have had, and validated many of my experiences dating back to early childhood. This has had a lasting impact because I am no longer afraid to share these stories and speak my personal truth when I feel it mirrors the natural way of things and is truly helpful. This is having a “freeing” effect on others as they begin to mirror this energy back. Connections are deepening – and rapidly – between myself and my community. I think the sense of validation has helped greatly with this.”

NEWCASTLE – Inipi for Cultural repair and Connection

A weekend of deep nature connection, healing and empowerment through Inipi (Sweat lodge), facilitated by Sal Gencarelle (Helper’s Mentoring Society).

Inipi – means Life within – This workshop will offer the opportunity to delve deeper into this sacred tool of connection by exploring the teaching associated with this age old tradition, common to many first nations people. A chance to enter a ceremony of great depth, healing, connection and empowerment under the guidance of Sal Gencarelle (Helper’s Mentoring Society https://helpersmentoringsociety.mykajabi.com/home) – apprenticed for 26 years and with many years experience holding such ceremonies in the Lakota Woptura (Chipps) Lineage.

Inipi, or sweat lodge, is a sacred ceremony practised in different forms across the world. The power of Inipi as a deep cleanse of body, mind and spirit, and its ability to heal and connect people to themselves, their community and the 4 elements is incredible. To be guided by an individual with the depth of understanding and experience that Sal has is a blessing and a rare opportunity. His unique skills as a deep nature connection facilitator are matched by his level of humility and service to the earth and humanity.
This two day experience will be dedicated to in depth learning of this traditional ceremony. Here drumming, song and prayer will be offered also in a powerful and inclusive way. To hear Sal drum and sing within that space alone is worth coming along for! More than that he will offer other practices to support our connection to the land on which we hold ceremony, and later our own place on this Earth, while also supporting us to be strong during this time of the great change.

Though the practices, songs and traditions are based in a Native American lineage, Sal has spent many years working with communities world over to bring this ceremony to them in a way that complements and strengthens their own cultural practices. He is a man of the Earth community and has a deep respect for all traditions – including the traditional custodians of this place – the Awabakal nation.

If you feel called to helping bring healing, connection, joy and strength to your self and community then take a step of courage and join the event!

Cost (includes 2 day workshop, camping and Sat evening meal):
Concession $280
Regular $330

MELBOURNE – Connecting to the land – Connecting to life

We will be meeting in the beautiful grounds of Ceres, adjacent to the Merri Creek, where we will be guided by Sal Gencarelle on what it means to walk and be on the land with connection, respect and reciprocity. With a living fire in the center of our circle, Sal will share his teachings and stories gathered from many lands. There will be opportunities to spend short amounts of solo time in nature to reflect on our mutual relationship with the land. Sal Gencarelle has decades of experience in Indigenous nature-based and modern therapies, which he weaves into teachings and practices that support our reconnection to our families, to our communities, to ourselves and to nature.

In this workshop we will explore how, as humans, our interaction with nature reflects how we interact with each other and ourselves. Sal’s teachings are centered on the notion that it is our birthright to live a life of health and happiness. It is our nature to experience the fullness of joy, connection, love, beauty and awe for all life. Through our considerate connection with nature, we develop those experiences and qualities for ourselves.

Salvatore’s work is dedicated to supporting the revitalisation of humanity’s relationship with our deepest purpose – to be in service to future generations so that all life thrives.

He gracefully lives and teaches from a place of humility and confidence.”
